General Settings
The General Settings page holds tenant-wide defaults that do not belong to one workflow, playbook, or role.
This is the kind of page that often gets ignored in product docs, but it matters because it controls the baseline housekeeping posture for the whole system.
What Lives Here
Section titled “What Lives Here”- logging threshold controls
- retention posture for workflow and log cleanup
Why It Matters
Section titled “Why It Matters”This page is where operators set the basic logging and cleanup posture instead of relying on implicit defaults buried inside services.
That matters over time. A workflow platform with poor defaults around retention and noisy logging becomes harder to operate even if the core routing logic is sound.
How It Connects To The Rest Of The System
Section titled “How It Connects To The Rest Of The System”General Settings affects the background posture of the whole product:
- its logging choices shape what operators later see in Diagnostics and Live Logs
- its retention choices shape how much workflow and execution history is available in Workflows, Workflow Detail, and workspace views
- it complements Platform Settings and Agentic Settings, which control more active supervision and execution behavior
This page is quieter than the live workflow screens, but it still changes what evidence and history the rest of the system can retain.
