Agirunner

What is Agirunner?

Agirunner is an open-source system for running real work through AI agents with an operator-grade agent orchestration plane behind it. It is API-first by design, with a rich dashboard for operators who need to launch, observe, steer, and review live workflows.

It combines operator-visible workflows, a public API, and isolated runtime execution so teams can run repeatable agent-driven work with real contracts, real evidence, and real operational visibility instead of reducing everything to ad hoc chat sessions.

The platform owns workflow meaning: playbooks, routing, approvals, operator state, the dashboard, and the API. The runtime owns execution: isolated task environments, tools, workspaces, logs, artifacts, and result capture. Shared community playbooks, specialists, and skills live in agirunner-playbooks and can be imported into tenant-local copies from the dashboard.

Agentic Orchestration

The orchestration layer keeps workflows moving toward the best available conclusion using playbooks, work items, approvals, and operator action instead of stopping at a single model response.

Community Playbook Catalog

Import curated playbooks, specialists, and skills from agirunner-playbooks, then adapt, extend, and combine them as normal tenant-local content inside the platform.

Full Container Isolation

Each task runs in its own execution environment, with workspace boundaries, result capture, and runtime-side safeguards.

Operator-Visible Workflows

The dashboard is not an afterthought. You can launch, inspect, intervene, review outputs, and trace execution as work moves through the system.

API-First Control Surface

Use the dashboard as an operator or integrate through the platform API. The platform and runtime stay separate on purpose so workflow meaning and execution mechanics do not collapse into one muddy layer.
